Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all models, datasheets, and other content you upload to CommunityCAD.

License Grant

By uploading content, you grant CommunityCAD a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, index, and distribute your content on the platform. This license ends when you delete your content.

Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share uploaded content. You must not upload proprietary or confidential designs without authorization.

Accuracy

Provide accurate descriptions, dimensions, and metadata for your models. The community relies on accurate information for scoring and validation.

Donations

CommunityCAD facilitates donations from supporters to creators. Payments are processed by Stripe. Creators connect their own Stripe account, and Stripe holds the direct relationship with the creator, including identity verification, payouts, and any applicable tax reporting.

Donors choose a donation amount, and the creator receives that full amount. CommunityCAD charges a platform fee and Stripe charges payment processing fees; both are added on top of the donor's chosen amount and itemized before the donor pays. The platform fee is currently the greater of $0.50 or 5% of the donation amount. We may change this fee with notice, and changes apply only to future donations.

Recurring donations continue monthly until the donor cancels. Refunds and disputes are handled through Stripe.
