CommunityCAD exists to democratize engineering design. We believe that access to quality CAD models, technical datasheets, and peer validation should not be locked behind paywalls or proprietary ecosystems.

• Format freedom — We support open formats (STEP, STL, OBJ, DXF, FreeCAD) alongside proprietary ones.

CommunityCAD is built with open-source tools and we plan to open-source the platform itself. Engineering should be collaborative, and so should the tools we build.
